Pearsauce is great on it’s own or can be used as a replacement for oil and/or eggs in baked goods just like applesauce.
Pearsauce is great on it’s own or can be used as a replacement for oil and/or eggs in baked goods just like applesauce.
Peel, core, and chop pears into chunks. Doesn’t need to be precise.
Place pear into a large stock pot and fill halfway up the pears with water. Turn the stove to high and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer until pears are tender, approximately 20-25 minutes.
Once the pears are tender, use an immersion blender (or food processor) and blend until smooth.
Serve hot or cold.
Servings 6
The serving size for cooked pears is the same as the serving for uncooked pears.
